As Special Advisor, Nisi conducts research and analysis on grants and partners. Before joining the Foundation team, Nisi was an agency owner of a women’s designer clothing line. She was a communications advisor for an education reform non-profit, researcher for a book on DC, and volunteer for senatorial and gubernatorial campaigns in Maryland. Previously, she held a political position in the Department of the Interior, and was a staff member in the US Senate.
Nisi graduated from Duke University with a degree in comparative area studies, with one year of studies in Tokyo, Japan. She completed post-graduate studies in German history and politics at the University of Munich. In her free time, Nisi is a co-leader in a national women’s bible study program, Walking with Purpose.
